March is here!! Is it Spring yet!? With March 21st being the 1st day of spring, it is freezing here in Washington State. I hope you all are staying warm and continuing to wash your hands and stay COVID free! With the weather constantly changing it is easy to catch a cold. This month I want to discuss a few things! March 8 is International Women’s Day and I also want to discuss what it means to be a Certified Group X Instructor vs being certified in a specific format.
International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.
IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific.
On March 8th let's celebrate one another. Tag a woman you see doing her thing. Insert this graphic and post with hashtags #womenofVIBE #EmbraceEquity and tag us on IG @vibe_body_expression
Certified Group X Instructor vs Certified (in a) specific format
Group certification is a way for more than one operation to be certified under a single FSC certificate.
Certified in a specific format is having a document that proves you have successfully completed a course of training.
As fitness instructors, we have the ability to be certified in multiple formats. The question that arises is, how are you able to teach multiple formats under one entity, such as Dance VIBE? You simply sign up to become a Group X Fitness Instructor. Depending on the format, only half of your playlist needs to be specific to the format that you are certified in, the other half of your playlist can be “other” choreography of your choice. As a Group X Fitness Instructor, at majority places, you are now an independent consultant. Your own boss!
Well, where do I start? Here are a few links that provide more information:
Lets go over to "THE VIBE FORUM"
and continue the discussion. To those of you who have started or completed the Group X Fitness Certification, tell us about your experience. And if you are pondering the start or if you have questions, post them here on the forum and spark the conversation.
